Supporting Affordable Housing Professionals Since 1986

PAHMA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, connecting, and advocating for affordable housing professionals throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states. For nearly 40 years, PAHMA has served as a trusted resource for owners, management agents, site staff, maintenance professionals, and industry partners committed to providing quality affordable housing.

Founded in 1986 through a collaborative effort between representatives of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Pittsburgh Area Office and affordable housing management professionals, PAHMA was created to strengthen communication between the industry and regulatory agencies while helping members navigate the challenges of affordable housing management.

PAHMA is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors made up of affordable housing professionals who are passionate about advancing the industry. Our members represent more than 100 ownership and management organizations across Pennsylvania, creating a strong network of professionals who share knowledge, support one another, and work together to strengthen affordable housing.
